Installation Procedure

- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- The lower crankcase surface must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealer.
- Install and align the oil pan to block within 20 minutes of applying the sealer.
- Apply a 4.25 mm bead of sealer (1) on the level part of the flange around the perimeter of the oil pan as shown. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install Oil Pan (4)
- Install Oil Pan Bolt (3) and hand tighten
- Install Oil Pan Bolt a (2) nd hand tighten
- Install Oil Pan Bolt (1) and hand tighten
- tighten the oil pan bolts in sequence. Oil Pan Installation (FWD)
- Install Transmission Bolt (1) - Transmission Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
- Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Oil Pan (2)
- Install Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Bracket Bolt (1) - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3U, MHG, MNH, MNK with FWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3D, M3H with FWD)
- Install Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (1) - Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LTG)
- Install Engine Front Cover - Engine Front Cover Replacement
- Install Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield -Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement
- Install Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

When installing the oil pan, carefully align the oil pan to the locating pins and install the pan onto the lower crankcase.
