Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  2. Support the engine. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  3. Remove Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (All Wheel Drive)
  4. Remove Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement
  5. Remove the front engine cover (1). Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
  6. Remove the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LTG) .

  8. Remove the catalytic converter to oil pan brace fasteners (1).
  9. Remove the catalytic lower brace (2).

  11. Remove the bolt (1)

  13. Remove the oil pan to transmission bolts (1, 2)

  15. Disconnect the electrical connector (1)
  16. Remove the bolt (2)

  18. Remove the long oil pan bolts (3), medium bolt (2) and short bolts (1), then remove the oil pan.
  19. For part transfer, cleaning and inspection, refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
