Removal Procedure

- Remove the timing chain lower cover. Refer to Timing Chain Lower Cover Replacement .
- Remove the crankshaft pulley. Refer to Crankshaft Pulley Replacement .
- Install the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Check if the bores (1) are aligned.
Turn the exhaust camshaft at the hexagon so far if the EN-51143 fixing tool (1) can be installed.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Install EN-51140 fixing tool (2).
- Install the fixing pin into the engine block bore (1) and tighten the 2 bolts (3).
- If the EN-51140 fixing tool can not installed. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Adjustment .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Tension the timing chain tensioner (1) in arrow direction.
- Install the EN-50513 pin (2).
- Remove the 2 timing chain lower guide bolts (2).
- Remove the timing chain lower guide (1).
NOTE:
If the bores not aligned turn the crankshaft at the crankshaft pulley bolts.
