Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the automatic transmission flex plate. Refer to Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Oil Pump Drive Chain Tensioner, Holding Tool And Oil Pan Bolt

  4. Tension the oil pump drive chain tensioner (3) with the EN-51142-2  holding tool (2) in arrow direction.
  5. Install the oil pan bolt (1) to fix the EN-51142-2  holding tool.

  7. Install the EN-51142-1  holding tool (1) to oil pump sprocket.
  8. Loosen the oil pump sprocket bolt (2) by counterhold at the EN-51142-1  holding tool.

  10. Unscrew the oil pump sprocket bolt (1) as far as possible.
  11. Detach the oil pump sprocket (2) from the oil and power brake booster pump shaft, use a suitable tool.

  13. Remove the 4 oil pump bolts (5).
  14. Remove the oil and power brake booster pump (4).
  15. Remove and DISCARD the oil pump sprocket bolt (3) from the oil pump sprocket (2).
  16. Remove the 2 oil and power brake booster pump gaskets (1).
