Installation Procedure

  1. Check the position of the oil pump shaft face (2) to the oil pump sprocket face (1) before installing the oil and power brake booster pump.

    NOTE:

    The oil pump sprocket bolt can not be installed, if the oil and power brake booster pump is installed.

  3. Install the NEW oil pump sprocket bolt (3) to the oil pump sprocket (2).
  4. Install 2 oil and power brake booster pump gaskets (1).
  5. Install the oil and power brake booster pump (4).
  6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Install the 4 oil pump bolts (5) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  9. Attach the oil pump sprocket (2) to the oil and power brake booster pump shaft.
  10. Screw in the NEW oil pump sprocket bolt (1).

  12. Install the EN-51142-1  holding tool (1) to oil pump sprocket.
  13. Tighten the NEW oil pump sprocket bolt (2) by counterhold at the EN-51142-1  holding tool to:
    1. Tighten in the bolts a first pass to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the bolts a final pass an additional to 60 degrees.

  15. Remove the oil pan bolt (1).
  16. Remove the EN-51142-2  holding tool (2).
  17. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  18. Install the automatic transmission flex plate. Refer to Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement .
