Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankshaft pulley (1).
  2. Pre-install the 4 NEW crankshaft pulley bolts (2).

    NOTE:

    Install the EN-49979  holder with the EN-49979-100  pins to the outer hole pattern.

  3. Install the EN-49979  holder (1) in compound with the EN-49979-100  pins and the EN-956-1  extension (2) to counterhold the crankshaft pulley (3).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (2) and tighten in first pass to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  5. Tighten the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts a final pass to an additional 45 degrees, use the EN-45059  meter.
  6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Generator and Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement .
