Timing Chain Idler Sprocket Installation

EN-51141 Intermediate Drive Gear Fixing Tool
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools
- Check the components of the timing chain system for damage and wear:
- Timing chain guides with plastic attachment
- Timing chain tensioner and timing chain tensioner shoe with plastic attachment
- Timing chain and all timing chain sprockets
- Oil pump sprocket
- Oil pump drive chain tensioner
- Install the gear shaft distributor (1) to the engine block (2).
- Install the timing chain idler sprocket (2), by align the marks (1) with the timing chain idler sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket (3).
- Install the timing chain idler sprocket bearing plate (2).
- Install the 3 timing chain idler sprocket bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Remove the EN-51141 fixing tool (3).
NOTE:
Before installing the timing chain idler sprocket, check the components of the timing chain system for damage and wear.
