EN-51140 Crankshaft Fixing Tool
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Remove and DISCARD the 4 connecting rod bearing cap bolts (3) from the cylinder 2 and the cylinder 3.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod bearing caps (2) from the cylinder 2 and the cylinder 3.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod lower bearings (1).
- Push the 2 pistons (1) with the 2 connecting rods (2) out of the cylinder 2 and the cylinder 3 upwards.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod upper bearings (3) from the 2 connecting rods (2).
- Remove the 2 bolts (3).
- Remove the EN-51140 fixing tool (2).
- Install the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Set the cylinder 2 to TDC. Rotate the crankshaft 180 degrees, use a pry bar at the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the 4 connecting rod bearing cap bolts (3) from the cylinder 1 and the cylinder 4.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod bearing caps (2) from the cylinder 1 and the cylinder 4.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod lower bearings (1).
- Push the 2 pistons (1) with the 2 connecting rods (4) out of the cylinder 1 and the cylinder 4 upwards.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod upper bearings (3) from the 2 connecting rods (4).
Lay aside in the order as they was removed.
The shear surfaces of the connecting rod and the connecting rod bearing cap form a unique fit and must not be swapped or damaged. Do not lay down on the shear surfaces.
