Fuel Injection Pump Driven Sprocket Installation

Special Tools
EN-50885-2 Locking Tool
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Install the fuel injection pump driven sprocket (2) to the fuel injection pump (1). Ensure the fuel injection pump shaft wedge (5) and the fuel injection pump driven sprocket groove (4) are aligned.
- Pre-install the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (3).
- Remove the pressure spindle (1) from the EN-50885-2 locking tool (2).
- Install the EN-50885-2
locking tool.
- Install the housing (3) to the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (2). Ensure that the 3 tappets (1) mesh with the 3 slots of the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.
- Position the ring (4) for a good handling.
- Screw in the fixing tool (5) into the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.
- Install a 1/2" extension (1) to the EN-50885-2 locking tool (2) to counterhold.
- Tighten the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut to 64 N.m (47 lb ft).
- Remove the EN-50885-2 locking tool.
