Engine Block Assemble

    Fig 1: Piston Oil Nozzles, Bolts And Lower Crankcase Guide Sleeves

  1. Install the 10 lower crankcase guide sleeves (1).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. Install Piston Oil Nozzles (2) (Qty: 4)
  3. Install and tighten Piston Oil Nozzle Bolts (3) (Qty: 4) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  4. Install and tighten Engine Block Coolant Drain Hole Plug (2) to 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
  5. Install and tighten Engine Block Oil Gallery Plug (3) to 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
  6. Install NEW Engine Block Core Hole Plug (1)
  7. Install and tighten Catalytic Converter Stud (4) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  8. Install NEW Engine Block Core Hole Plugs (1) (Qty: 3)

  9. Install and tighten Engine Block Coolant Drain Hole Plug (2) to 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
  10. Install and tighten Engine Block Oil Gallery Plugs (3) (Qty: 4) to 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
  11. Install NEW Engine Block Core Hole Plug (1)
    12. Fig 5: Engine Oil Pressure Switch, Engine Oil Pressure Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Piston Oil Nozzle Oil Control Solenoid Valve And Bolts

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution

  12. Install and tighten Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (5) to 35 N.m (26 lb ft)
  13. Install the piston oil nozzle oil control solenoid valve (4).
  14. Install the 2 piston oil nozzle oil control solenoid valve bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  15. Install and tighten Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (3) to 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
  16. Install and tighten Engine Oil Pressure Switch (1) to 35 N.m (26 lb ft)

  17. Install the 2 cylinder head guide sleeves (1).
  18. Check that the 2 deflectors (2) are installed in the engine block and install 2 NEW deflectors if the deflectors are missing.
