Cylinder Head Removal

  1. Remove the bearing bracket (1).
    2. Fig 2: Outer Cylinder Head Bolts

  2. Remove and DISCARD the 2 outer cylinder head bolts (1).

  3. Loosen the 10 cylinder head bolts in sequence as shown.

  4. Remove and DISCARD the 10 cylinder head bolts (1).
    5. NOTE:

    Ensure the guide sleeves (3) are properly seated in the engine block.

  5. Remove the cylinder head (2).
  6. Remove and DISCARD the cylinder head gasket (4).
