Camshaft Timing Chain Removal

Special Tools
- EN-50513 Fixing Pin
- EN-51140 Crankshaft Fixing Tool
- EN-51143 Camshaft Sprocket Fixing Tool
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Install the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Check if the bores (1) are aligned.
Turn the exhaust camshaft at the hexagon so far if the EN-51143 fixing tool (1) can be installed.
- Remove the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- Install the EN-51140 fixing tool (2).
- Install the fixing pin into the engine block bore (1) and tighten the 2 bolts (3).
- Tension the timing chain tensioner (1) in arrow direction.
- Install the EN-50513 pin (2).
- Remove the timing chain tensioner shoe bolt (2).
- Remove the timing chain tensioner shoe (1).
- Remove the 2 timing chain lower guide bolts (2).
- Remove the timing chain lower guide (1).
- Loosen the timing chain upper guide bolt (1).
- Remove the timing chain upper guide bolt (3).
- Move the timing chain upper guide (2) in the direction of arrow.
- Remove the timing chain (1).
- Remove the upper timing chain upper guide bolt (2).
- Remove the timing chain upper guide (1).
NOTE:
If the bores not aligned turn the crankshaft at the crankshaft pulley bolts.
