Camshaft Sprocket Installation

- Check the components of the timing chain system for damage and wear:
- Timing chain guides with plastic attachment
- Timing chain tensioner and timing chain tensioner shoe with plastic attachment
- Timing chain and all timing chain sprockets
- Oil pump sprocket
- Oil pump drive chain tensioner
- Position the camshaft sprocket mark (2) at a 12 o'clock position and install the camshaft sprocket (1) to the intake camshaft.
- Install the 3 camshaft sprocket bolts (3) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft), counterhold with a wrench at the camshaft hexagon.
NOTE:
Before installing the camshaft sprocket, check the components of the timing chain system for damage and wear.
