Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

If not referred to this test from another diagnostic, do not perform this procedure.

  1. Ignition On.
  2. Verify that no DTCs are set except for DTC P0300-P0308
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
    3. NOTE:

    The Cylinder Power Balance test disables each fuel injector for 30 s when activated.

  3. Perform the scan tool Cylinder Power Balance test.
  4. Verify an equally noticeable engine vibration and power difference exist with each cylinder cancellation.
    • If one or more cylinders do not have a noticeable difference during cancellation 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If all cylinders have an equally noticeable difference during cylinder cancellation. 
  5. All OK.
