Circuit/System Testing

  1. Review the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data to verify if Engine Speed exceeded 5200 RPM.
    • If the Engine Speed exceeded 5200 RPM 

      Inspect the engine for the following:

    • Aftermarket power-up devices.
    • Modified fuel system.
    • Contaminated engine oil.
    • Un-metered fuel source.
    • Go to next step: If the Engine Speed did not exceed 5200 RPM. 
  2. Replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
