Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition OFF for least 8 h. Ignition ON, compare with a scan tool the IAT 2 parameter, the ambient air temperature parameter, and the Reductant Tank Temperature parameter the reading should be within 9°C (16°F) of each other
    • If not within 9°C (16°F) 

      Refer to Circuit/System testing

    • Go to next step: If within 9°C (16°F) 
  2. Engine running, verify that the Reductant Tank Temperature parameter is between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F) depending on the current Ambient Air Temperature, the engine run time, and the vehicle operating conditions.
    • If not between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F) 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F) 
  3. Verify with a scan tool that no other DTCs are set.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If no DTC sets 
  6. All OK.
