Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF for least 8 h. Ignition ON, compare with a scan tool the IAT 2 parameter, the ambient air temperature parameter, and the Reductant Tank Temperature parameter the reading should be within 9°C (16°F) of each other
- If not within 9°C (16°F)
Refer to Circuit/System testing
- Go to next step: If within 9°C (16°F)
- If not within 9°C (16°F)
- Engine running, verify that the Reductant Tank Temperature parameter is between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F) depending on the current Ambient Air Temperature, the engine run time, and the vehicle operating conditions.
- If not between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F)
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F)
- If not between -40 to +80°C (-40°F - 176°F)
- Verify with a scan tool that no other DTCs are set.
- If any other DTCs are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for further diagnosis.
- Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set
- If any other DTCs are set
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If no DTC sets
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
