Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to EN-47632 Cleaning Tool Rotation Caution

  1. Clean the 4 injector sealing surfaces in the cylinder head with a suitable cleaning tool (1) in the following procedure:
    1. First take the brush side to loosen the dirt.
    2. Accordingly take the sponge side to remove the dirt.

  2. Remove the suitable caps from the 4 fuel injector nozzles.
  3. Install NEW Fuel Injector Washers (2) (Qty: 4)
  4. Install Fuel Injectors (1) (Qty: 4)

  5. Install Fuel Injector Brackets (2) (Qty: 4)
  6. Install and hand tighten the 4 NEW fuel injector bracket bolts (1)

  7. Remove the suitable closure plugs.
  8. Install NEW Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (1) (Qty: 4)
  9. Hand tighten the 8 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  10. Tighten Fuel Injector Bracket Bolt (3) in sequence
    1. First Pass: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
    2. Final Pass: 60 degrees Use the special tool: EN-45059  meter
  11. Tighten the 4 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts (2) to the 4 fuel injectors to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
  12. Tighten the 4 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts (1) to the fuel rail to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  13. Install Fuel Injector Insulator (1)

  14. Install 4 NEW fuel injector fuel return hose seal rings (3).
  15. Install Fuel Return Hose (1) @ Fuel Injector (Qty: 4)
  16. Connect Fuel Return Hose (1) @ Diesel Fuel Separator
  17. Install a NEW clamp. (2)

  18. Install 4 NEW fuel return hose clamps (1).

  19. Connect Fuel Injector Electrical Connectors (1) (Qty: 4)
  20. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  21. Check the fuel system for leaks. Refer to Fuel Leak Diagnosis .
  22. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  23. Perform the fuel injection small quantity learn. Refer to Fuel Injection Small Quantity Learn 
  24. Perform the fuel trim reset. Refer to Fuel Trim Reset 
  25. Perform the high pressure fuel correction reset. Refer to High Pressure Fuel Correction Reset 
  26. Perform the fuel injector flow rate programming. Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming
