Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Injection Fuel Rail And Bolts

  1. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (2)
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. Install and tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
    3. Fig 2: Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield, Diesel Fuel Separator Hose, Clamp And Electrical Connectors

  3. Connect Diesel Fuel Separator Hose (3) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail
  4. Install Diesel Fuel Separator Hose Clamp (5)
  5. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (2)
  6. Connect the electrical connector:
    1. Fuel Pressure Sensor (1)
    2. Fuel Pressure Regulator (4)

  7. Install NEW Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (1) (Qty: 4)
  8. Hand Tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (1) @ Fuel Injector (Qty: 4)
  9. Hand tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (1) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) (Qty: 4)
  10. Tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (1) (Qty: 8) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
    11. Fig 4: Fuel Return Hose, Diesel Fuel Separator, Fuel Injector Insulator And Clamp

  11. Install Fuel Injector Insulator (1)
  12. Connect Fuel Injector Fuel Return Hose (4) @ Diesel Fuel Separator (2)
  13. Install a NEW clamp. (3)
    14. Fig 5: Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe, Fuel Injection Pump, Fuel Injection Fuel Rail And Bracket Bolt

  14. Remove the suitable closure plugs from all connections.
  15. Install NEW Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2)
  16. Hand tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3)
  17. Hand tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Pump (4)
    18. NOTE:

    Counterhold at the fuel injection pump connector (4).

  18. Tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipes (2) (Qty: 2) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
  19. Install and tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Bracket Bolt (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  20. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  21. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  22. If replacing, perform the high pressure fuel correction reset. Refer to High Pressure Fuel Correction Reset
