Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the suitable closure plugs.
    2. Fig 1: Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe And Components - Fuel Injection Pump to Fuel Rail

  2. Install New Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2)
    3. NOTE:

    Counterhold at the fuel injection pump hexagon connector.

  3. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Pump (4)
  4. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Rail (3)
    5. NOTE:

    Counterhold at the fuel injection pump hexagon connector.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Pump (4) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
  6. Tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (2) @ Fuel Rail (3) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
  7. Install and tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Bracket Bolt (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  9. Check the fuel system for leaks. Refer to Fuel Leak Diagnosis
  10. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
