Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution

  1. Install and tighten Exhaust Temperature Sensor (1) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft)
    2. Fig 2: Exhaust Temperature Sensor And Retainer

  2. Install Exhaust Temperature Sensor (1) @ Retainer (2)
  3. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

  4. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Exhaust Temperature Sensor (2)
  5. Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  6. If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Refer to Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset 
  7. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. Refer to NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
