Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

Do not bend the exhaust flex pipe more than 10 degrees in any direction. Bending of more than 10 degrees or twisting in a range of ± 0.5 degrees will damage the exhaust flex decoupler.

Disconnect Electrical Connector (1) @ Exhaust Particulate Sensor Control Module (2)

NOTE:

Secure the exhaust particulate sensor control module from falling down in order to prevent a defect on the control module.

Remove Exhaust Particulate Sensor Control Module Bracket Nuts (3) (Qty: 2)

Remove Wiring Harness Retainers (1) (Qty: 3) @ Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle

NOTE:

Do NOT bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position.

Remove Exhaust Particulate Sensor (1)
