Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install and tighten Exhaust Particulate Sensor (1) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft)
- Install Wiring Harness Retainers (1) (Qty: 3) @ Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle
- Install Exhaust Particulate Sensor Control Module (2)
- Install and tighten Exhaust Particulate Sensor Control Module Bracket Nuts (3) (Qty: 2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Exhaust Particulate Sensor Control Module (2)
- Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
- When the replacement is completed, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset functions. Refer to Control Module References
CAUTION:
Do not bend the exhaust flex pipe more than 10 degrees in any direction. Bending of more than 10 degrees or twisting in a range of ± 0.5 degrees will damage the exhaust flex decoupler.

NOTE:
Do NOT bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position.
