Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve And Wiring Harness Plug

  2. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve wiring harness plug (2) from the EGR valve (1).

  3. Remove the 2 EGR valve bolts (4).
  4. Remove the EGR valve (3) from the EGR cooler housing (5).
  5. Remove and DISCARD the EGR valve gasket (2).
  6. Remove and DISCARD the EGR valve seat gasket (1).
