Installation Procedure

- Install Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bracket (2)
- Install and tighten Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bracket Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- Install Emission Reduction Fluid Tank (2)
- Install and tighten Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bolts (1) (Qty: 3) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Install and tighten Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Connect Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Opening Filler (1) (Qty: 2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Connect Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (4). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Connect Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe Electrical Connector (3)
- Install Electrical Connector (1) @ Retainer (2)
- Connect Electrical Connector (1)
- Install Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Protector. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Protector Replacement
- Install Rear Bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Equinox)Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Terrain)
- Refill the emission reduction fluid tank, add a minimum of 9.5 liters (2.5 gallons).
- Perform the reductant fluid tank level reset. Refer to Reductant Fluid Tank Level Reset
NOTE:
If tank was replaced with a new assembly, install the metal mounting bracket. Center bracket over hole in tank.
