Installation Procedure

  1. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor (1)

    NOTE:

    Slightly lift the crankshaft position sensor to install the retainer spring.

  2. Install the crankshaft position sensor retainer spring (2) into the correct channel (1) of the crankshaft position sensor.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Install and tighten Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  4. Connect the electrical connector. (1)
  5. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Housing. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Housing Replacement 
  6. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  7. Perform the crankshaft position reluctor ring learn. Refer to Crankshaft Position Variation Learn
