Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect Battery Negative Cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  2. Remove Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  3. Fig 1: Engine Control Module Electrical Connectors And Harness Clips

  4. Unclip the 4 wiring harness clips (2, 3) from the bracket.
  5. Remove the engine control module bracket along with the engine control module in top direction from the battery tray.
  6. Disconnect the 3 engine control module electrical connectors (1) from the engine control module and hang it aside.

  8. Remove the charge air bypass valve vacuum hose (2) from the exhaust gas recirculation vacuum regulator solenoid valve (1).
  9. Remove the charge air bypass valve vacuum hose (2) from the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum control solenoid valve (5).
  10. Remove the charge air bypass valve vacuum hose (2) from the charge air bypass regulator solenoid valve vacuum tube (4).
  11. Unclip the charge air bypass valve vacuum hose (2) clips from the brackets (3).
  12. Remove the charge air bypass valve vacuum hose (2).
