Installation Procedure

  1. Install the control valve body cover (1).

    NOTE:

    The number (1) bolts are stud bolts.

  3. Hand start the control valve body cover bolts (1, 2).
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Install all control valve body cover bolts and stud bolts by hand then torque all bolts in sequence.

  5. Install the control valve body cover bolts. Tighten the bolts in sequence to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  6. Install the body ground cable and wiring harness assembly to the front of transmission.

  8. Connect the control valve body transmission control module electrical connector (1), then clip the wiring harness to the cover.

  10. Reposition the transmission fluid cooler outlet pipes (2) to the transmission
  11. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe nut (1) to the transmission and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  12. Fill the transmission with correct fluid. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  13. Check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
  14. Install the transmission control module bracket. Refer to Transmission Control Module Bracket Replacement 
  15. Install the charge air cooler outlet air tube. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement .
  16. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9) .
  17. Check for leaks.
