Preliminary Procedures

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
Reposition the steering column upper trim cover as necessary. Refer to Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement (Chevrolet, Without BTM)
Remove Ignition Lock Cylinder Opening Trim Cover. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Opening Trim Cover Replacement (Chevrolet, Without BTM)
Remove Steering Column Lower Trim Cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (Chevrolet, Without BTM)

Ignition and Start Switch Bolt (Qty: 2)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
2 N.m (18 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
