Conditions for Setting the DTC

P0030 or P0036 

The engine control module detects an open in the heater circuits of the HO2S when the heater is commanded OFF for greater than 6 s.

P0031 or P0037 

The engine control module detects a short to ground in the heater output low side driver circuit of the heated oxygen sensor when the heater is commanded OFF for greater than 6 s.

P0032 or P0038 

The engine control module detects a short to voltage in the heater output low side driver circuit of the heated oxygen sensor when the heater is commanded ON for greater than 6 s.

P0053 or P0054 

The ECM detects the HO2S heater is not within a specified resistance range at engine start-up.

P0135 or P0141 

The ECM detects that the HO2S heater current is greater than 2.5 A or less than 0.3 A for greater than 10 s.
