Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The easy entry seat switch is located in the seat backrest. When the seat backrest is manually folded forward, the switch contacts close and the signal circuit from the folding top control module is pulled low indicating the easy entry seat command. The folding top control module then applies battery voltage through the easy entry motor forward control circuit and ground through the easy entry motor rearward control circuit to the easy entry seat motor. The motor runs at double speed to move the entire seat to it's the furthest forward position. When the seat backrest is manually moved to the upright position, the easy entry seat switch opens signaling the folding top control module to move the seat rearward. The module reverses polarity applying voltage and ground to the opposite circuits to move the seat rearward at double speed to it's original position.
