DTC B1770

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 and X2 harness connectors at the M51D Seat Horizontal Motor - Driver.
  2. Verify a test lamp turns ON between each control circuit terminal listed below and ground when commanding the Easy Entry Seat Motor - Driver (Horizontal Control) Forward with a scan tool, one at a time.
    • Terminal 5 X1
    • Terminal 5 X2
    • If the test lamp is always OFF
    1. Ignition OFF, remove the test lamp, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K23 Folding Top Control Module.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit and ground.
      • If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If infinite resistance
    3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the control circuit end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the K23 Folding Top Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp turns ON
  3. Verify a test lamp turns ON between each control circuit terminal listed below and ground when commanding the Easy Entry Seat Motor - Driver (Horizontal Control) Rearward with a scan tool.
    • Terminal 1 X1
    • Terminal 1 X2
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp turns ON
  4. Perform the Seat Horizontal Motor component test below.
