Precautions for Seat Belt System during Body Repair Warning

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:

The following precautions must be observed to avoid potential damage to the seat belt system. If these precautions are not taken, the seat belt system may not provide the proper restraint in the event of an accident, and may result in bodily injury.

  • Place protective covers on the seat belts to protect them from flying sparks or debris.
  • Ensure that sharp objects which may potentially cause damage are kept away from the seat belts.
  • Ensure that the protective covers have no sharp edges, and that the edges are covered with tape.
