Installation Procedure

  1. GM2027698

    Rear Brake Shield(1) - Reposition

  2. Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly(2) - Reposition

    WARNING:

    Torque-to-Yield Fastener Warning

    CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

    NOTE:

    Tighten the fasteners in a cross sequence.

    Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[4x] - Use NEW bolts.

    1. First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 30 - 45 degrees - Use the special tool: EN-45059  meter
  4. GM2027694

    Wheel Speed Sensor(2) - Install

  5. Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt(1) - Install and tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
    6. NOTE:
    • Do NOT disconnect the brake hoses from the calipers.
    • Install the brake caliper and bracket assembly.
  6. Rear Brake Rotor - Install - Rear Brake Rotor Replacement
  7. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
