Installation Procedure

Clean the rear spring lower seat surface on the rear axle.
- Install the rear spring lower seat (1) to the rear axle (2).
Rear Spring Insulator Upper(1) - Install
- Rear Spring Insulator Lower(2) - Install
Rear Spring(1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to:Fastener Caution .
NOTE:Install NEW bolts.
Rear Shock Absorber Bolt(2) - Install, but do NOT tighten[2x]
{ If equipped }Bolt(1) - Install, but do NOT tighten[2x]
Bolt(2) - Install and tighten[2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Lower the vehicle.
- NOTE:
If equipped, tighten the 2 equalizer beam link bolts with the vehicle standing on the ground.
{ If equipped }Bolt(1) - Tighten[2x] 160 N.m (118 lb ft)
- NOTE:
Tighten the 2 NEW lower shock absorber bolts with vehicle standing on the ground.
Rear Shock Absorber Bolt(2) - Tighten
- First Pass: 150 N.m (111 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 65 degrees
NOTE:
Use a hammer and a piece of wood to install the rear spring lower seat.
