Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

Rear axle bushings must only be replaced pairwise!

  1. GM2192193

    Mark the installation position (2) of the NEW rear axle bushing (1) as shown in the graphic above.

  2. GM2192202

    Align bushing marking (1) to rear axle marking (2).

  3. GM2192203

    Install the following components to the rear axle bushing and rear axle:

    • CH-6615-10  cylinder (1).
    • CH-49459  adapter (2).
    • NEW rear axle bushing (3).
    • CH-906-42  adapter (4)
    • Install and tighten counter nut (5) onto spindle of CH-6615-10  cylinder (1)
  4. Connect the pressure hose (6) of CH-6616  pump with CH-6615-10  cylinder.
  5. Carefully press the rear axle bushing (3) in to the rear axle, using the CH-6616  pump.
  6. When full stroke distance of CH-6615-10  cylinder is reached, release pressure from CH-6616  pump, retighten counter nut (5) and press the rear axle bushing in to rear axle until final installation position.
  7. Remove ALL special tools.
  8. Install rear axle. Refer to Rear Axle Replacement .
