Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the front brake shield. Refer to Front Brake Shield Replacement .
Remove and DISCARD the steering knuckle upper camber adjust bolt (3) and nut (2).
- Remove and DISCARD the steering knuckle lower camber adjust bolt (4) and nut (1).
Remove and DISCARD the steering knuckle nut (1).
- NOTE:
The CH-50823 support bearing remover contains two different spindle mountings for the right side and left side. They can be identified by an engraved "R" and "L".
Install the CH-50823 support bearing remover (1) to the steering knuckle (3). Fix the CH-50823 support bearing remover (1) through the lower wheel bearing holes with the supplied bolts.
- Turn the spindle (2) of the CH-50823 support bearing remover (1) until the steering knuckle upper ball stud (4) cone detaches from the steering knuckle (3).
- Remove the CH-50823 support bearing remover (1) from the steering knuckle (3).
Remove the steering knuckle upper ball stud (2) from the steering knuckle (1) and the front suspension strut yoke (3).
