Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement . Loosen the wheel drive shaft from the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side , and Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side . Remove the front wheel speed sensor. Refer to Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement . Separate the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement . Remove the outer fastener lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement . Remove brake hose, connectors and clips from the yoke strut. Separate the yoke from the suspension strut.
1	Wheel Hub Mounting Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove and DISCARD the wheel hub mounting bolts. Install NEW bolts. Tighten First Pass: 90 N.m (66 lb ft) Final Pass: 60 to 75 degrees Special Tools EN-45059 Torque Angle Sensor Kit For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .
Loosen the wheel drive shaft from the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side , and Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side .
Remove the front wheel speed sensor. Refer to Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement .
Separate the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement .
Remove the outer fastener lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
Remove brake hose, connectors and clips from the yoke strut.
Separate the yoke from the suspension strut.

Wheel Hub Mounting Bolt (Qty: 3)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Remove and DISCARD the wheel hub mounting bolts.
Install NEW bolts.

Tighten

First Pass: 90 N.m (66 lb ft)
Final Pass: 60 to 75 degrees
