Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

Circuit/System Verification requires cold start. Do not start vehicle prior to connecting scan tool and preparing to evaluate the condition during engine crank.

  1. Engine Cranking, start the engine and verify that the scan tool Cylinder 1-4 Current Misfire Counters are not incrementing during first 500 engine cycles.
    • If Cylinder 1-4 Current Misfire Counters are incrementing 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If Cylinder 1-4 Current Misfire Counters are not incrementing 
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  3. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  4. All OK.
