Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, engine OFF.
  2. Command the scan tool EVAP Purge/Seal function to Not Venting or System Seal to seal the EVAP system.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Verify the scan tool Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor parameter is less than 1.7 V after 90 s.
    • If not within specifications 

      Replace the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve.

    • Go to next step: If within specifications 
  5. All OK.
