Component Testing

Static Test
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve.
- Test for 10-30 Ω between the control circuit terminal 1 and the ignition circuit terminal 2.
- If not between 10-30 Ω
Replace the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve.
- Go to next step: If between 10-30 Ω
- If not between 10-30 Ω
- All OK.
Dynamic Test
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve.
- Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and 12 V. Install a jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 1.
- Verify the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve turns on & off/clicks and flows vacuum.
- If it does not turn on & off/click or flow vacuum.
Replace the Q12 Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid Valve.
- Go to next step: If it does turn on & off/clicks and flows vacuum.
- If it does not turn on & off/click or flow vacuum.
- All OK
