Removal Procedure

  1. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection - Disconnect
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    WARNING:

    While engine is operating, the exhaust system will become extremely hot. To prevent burns avoid contacting a hot exhaust system.

    Electrical Connector(1)@Power Steering Assist Motor - Disconnect

  4. Clip(2) - Remove
  5. GM4247051

    Remove the 2 clips (1) from the power steering wiring harness bracket (2).

  6. GM4247053

    Fuse Block Cover(1) - Remove

  7. GM4247054

    Nut(3) - Remove

  8. Nut(2) - Remove
  9. Remove the power steering wiring harness (1) from the vehicle.
