Installation Procedure

  1. GM2678161

    In order to repair the damaged section of washer hose, proceed the following steps:

    1. Use the washer hose repair kit hose (1) to replace damaged section.
    2. Push the washer hose (2) from the body wiring harness into the washer hose repair kit hose (1).
    3. Secure the to two hoses with the retaining clamp (3). Confirm correct fit of retaining clamp (3) by a push/pull operation and a tactile and audible "click".
  2. Verify the repair by activating the front and rear washer system and check the system for leaks.
  3. If the repaired leak was located inside the main body wire harness or conduit, use electrical tape to retain the repaired section to the electrical wire harness conduit.
  4. If the repaired leak was located externally from the conduit, secure the hose with cable ties to prevent unnecessary movement and noise.
