Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON.
- Verify no additional DTCs are set in other control modules.
- If additional DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If no additional DTCs are set
- Verify that DTC C027D or C028D is not set.
- If the DTC is set
- Verify the park brake cable is connected properly. Refer to Park Brake System Diagnosis
- Check park brake pads for excessive wear. Refer to Disc Brake System Diagnosis
- Program the K83 Parking Brake Control Module.
- Ignition ON. Apply and release the park brake.
- Verify the DTC is not set.
- If the DTC is set, replace the K83 Parking Brake Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
