Brake Pad Inspection

Special Tools 

CH-230-A  Disc Gauge

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

  1. Remove brake pads. Refer to Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement , and/or Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement .
  2. GM2027295

    Measure remaining brake pad thickness at several points, using the CH-230-A  disc gauge (1).

  3. Compare brake pad thickness to disc brake component specifications.
