Lift Plate and Holding Fixture Removal

WARNING:

Handle with care, the transmission assembly weighs over 83 Kg (183 lbs). Bodily injury could occur if not handled properly.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Install DT-47811-A  Transmission Lift Plate.
  2. Tighten bolts and nut to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  3. Remove lock pin from DT-46625  Transmission Holding Fixture.
  4. Raise the transmission with an overhead hoist in order to remove the DT-46625  Transmission Holding Fixture.
  5. Lower the transmission assembly onto the transmission jack in order to remove the DT-47811-A  Transmission Lift Plate.
NOTE:

Only 2 bolt holes on the lift plate will align with the bosses on the transmission case. This is sufficient for lifting the transmission to remove the holding fixture.

  • DT-47811-A  Transmission Lift Plate
