Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer or replace parts as needed.
  2. Connect any electrical connectors.
  3. GM2949021

    With the aid of an assistant install the rear bumper fascia (1).

  4. Carefully push in the retaining tabs of the rear bumper fascia into the rear bumper fascia guides.
  5. GM2949018
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install and tighten 4 rear wheelhouse liner bolts (1) left side to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install and tighten 4 rear wheelhouse liner bolts (1) right side to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  7. GM2949019

    Install 4 lower rear bumper fascia retainers (1).

  8. Install 2 rear bumper fascia bolts (2) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  9. Install the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement .
  10. Lower and unsupport the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
