Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

  1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove all related panels and components.
  4. GM2027923

    Remove the 8 front bumper impact bar bolts (1).

  5. GM2190876

    Cut the front bumper impact bar (1) left and right.

  6. Locate and mark all factory welds.
  7. GM2190877

    Drill all factory welds (1).

  8. GM2190878

    Remove the remaining parts of the front bumper impact bar (1).

  9. Paint the flanges of the front compartment side rail.
