Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: S134 Folding Top/Global Window Switch
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the test points:
    • Signal terminal 7 & Ground terminal 5 - Switch - Not Pressed
    • Signal terminal 8 & Ground terminal 5 - Switch - Not Pressed
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: S134 Folding Top/Global Window Switch

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  4. Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 7 & Ground terminal 5 - Switch - Pressed
    • If 3 ohms or greater 

      Replace the component: S134 Folding Top/Global Window Switch

    • Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms 
  5. Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 8 & Ground terminal 5 - Switch - Pulled
    • If 3 ohms or greater 

      Replace the component: S134 Folding Top/Global Window Switch

    • Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms 
  6. All OK.
