A23 Door Latch Assembly
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: A23 Door Latch Assembly
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points:
- A23D Door Latch Assembly - Driver Signal terminal 6 & Ground terminal 8 - The switch is in the open position.
- A23P Door Latch Assembly - Passenger Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 3 - The switch is in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component: A23 Door Latch Assembly
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points:
- A23D Door Latch Assembly - Driver Signal terminal 6 & Ground terminal 8 - The switch is in the closed position.
- A23P Door Latch Assembly - Passenger Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 3 - The switch is in the closed position.
- If 3 ohms or greater
Replace the component: A23 Door Latch Assembly
- Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms
- All OK.
M30 Liftgate Latch
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: M30 Liftgate Latch
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 4 & Ground terminal 2 - The switch is in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component: M30 Liftgate Latch
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 4 & Ground terminal 2 - The switch is in the closed position.
- If 3 ohms or greater
Replace the component: M30 Liftgate Latch
- Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms
- If 3 ohms or greater
- All OK.
