Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. GM3405247

    The clamp (1) from the turbocharger oil feed pipe fitting is pre installed.

  2. GM3405245

    Install 2 NEW turbocharger oil pipe fitting seal rings (2)

    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Do not remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe fitting clamps.

  3. Install a NEW turbocharger oil feed pipe fitting (1) to the turbocharger and tighten to 24 N.m (89 lb ft).
  4. Install a NEW turbocharger oil feed pipe fitting (1) to the oil cooler housing and tighten to 24 N.m (89 lb ft).
  5. GM3405249

    Clip in the turbocharger oil feed pipe (1) to the turbocharger oil feed pipe fittings (2).

  6. Pull back on pipe to be sure it is seated correctly in the clamps.
  7. GM3405246

    Install a NEW the turbocharger coolant feed pipe seal ring (2)

    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Do not remove the turbocharger coolant feed pipe clamp.

    NOTE:

    The turbocharger coolant feed pipe fitting is not reusable.

  8. Install a NEW the turbocharger coolant feed pipe fitting (2) and tighten to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
  9. GM3405250

    Clip in the turbocharger coolant feed pipe (2) to the turbocharger coolant feed pipe fitting (6).

  10. Pull back on pipe to be sure it is seated correctly in the clamp.
    11. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  11. Install the turbocharger coolant feed pipe hollow bolt (4) along with 2 NEW sealing rings (1, 3) to the turbocharger and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  12. Install the turbocharger coolant feed pipe bolt (5) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  13. Install the turbocharger coolant return pipe to the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement .
  14. Install the charge air cooler inlet air hose to the turbocharger. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement .
  15. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  16. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  17. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  18. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  19. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
